AVAILABLE IN H.P.L.:
·
Laying
down of standards for identity and purity of
Homoeopathic Medicines.

Testing
facilities for ascertaining genuineness of raw
material used in preparation of Homoeopathic
Medicines.

Testing
facilities for quality of Homoeopathic Medicines.
·
Information
on active principles of medicinal plants used in
Homoeopathy & possible usages as
drugs.
·
Screening
rationality of formulations prepared or marketed
as Homoeopathic Medicines and their therapeutic
usefulness. Screening and verification of
biological response / effect of Homoeopathic
Medicines.
·
Training
/ Orientation facility in methods of
identifications & testing of Homoeopathic
Medicines for Drugs Inspectors, Drug Analysts,
Drug Controller, Govt. Pharmacists, Medical
Officers and Lecturers.
·
Verification
of standards.
TYPE
OF SERVICE PROVIDED:
1.
Testing of homoeopathic drugs for identity
& purity / quality on payment of testing fee
as prescribed under ‘Schedule-B’ of Drugs
& Cosmetics Act.
2.
Information on standards of identity,
availability on raw materials used in preparation
of homoeopathic medicines.
3.
Information on medicinal plants, their
cultivation, preservation & comparative
studies.
4.
Orientation in Homoeopathic Pharmacy to
students of Homoeopathic Medical Colleges,
Pharmacists, Lecturers, Medical Officers.
5.
Any persons / consumer can get drug tested
under Section 26 of Drugs & Cosmetics Act on
payment of prescribed fee as per Schedule – B.
TIME
TAKEN TO PROVIDE ABOVE SERVICE:
a.
For testing of drug samples, if testing fee
is paid & at least 100 gm. / 100 ml. of such
drug is provided – One month.
b.
Technical information - Two months.

Nagar, Ghaziabad.
SCIENTIFIC
& RESEARCH ACTIVITIES:
Homoeopathic Pharmacopoeia Laboratory is
engaged not only in laying down of standards for
identity & purity of homoeopathic medicines
and providing services as laid down above, it is
also preparing monographs for Homoeopathic
Pharmaceutical Codex. Homoeopathic
Pharmaceutical Codex is to include information on
Pharmacological Action, Toxicity and Active
Principles on Homoeopathic drugs, besides
Description, Macroscopical, Microscopical etc if
the drug is of plant origin. It is proposed to
include such information on 500 drugs.
TIMING
OF WORKING OF THE INSTITUTION:
9.00 A.M. to 5.30 P.M. except Saturday,
Sunday & Public Holiday.
